Sustainability for Real Estate Investment course outline

Legal & General Property have embarked on an exciting new partnership with the College of Estate Management dedicated to embedding the principles and practice of sustainable working throughout the property industry.

Through this joint venture we have worked with the College in Partnership to create, a bespoke training programme tailored to target the serious issues of sustainability in Real Estate Investment.

The Sustainability in Real Estate Investment Course is available as a long distance learning course from the College of Estate Management. Topics on the course include; managing risk, Energy Performance Certificates, the physical effects of climate change, sustainability in building design, renewable energy, pollution and contaminated land, green leases, and the global take-up of sustainability.

By working with the College of Estate Management in the creation of the programme and then sending all Property Investment Management staff through the course, we hope to set the industry standard on sustainability knowledge and encourage our working partners and competitors to follow suit.

We feel as a top five Property Fund Manager in the UK we are strongly positioned to act as a forerunner and leader of implementation in sustainability standards and understanding. Effective strategic development can only be achieved through a true understanding of the underlying principles and driving forces which form the basis of sustainability.
