Fixed income markets are not totally efficient so value can be extracted via a proven, incremental approach to generating excess return.  Outperformance can be successfully generated through:

LGIM believes that each market has its own reliable long-term drivers, which can be macro-economic or micro-economic.  We dedicate our research resources toward identifying and analysing these drivers to develop a wide range of opportunities.  This approach allows us to create portfolios ranging from low risk cashflow-matching programs to high alpha global credit funds.
